May 2014
Dear Parents
We all hope that you had a lovely Easter.
As I am sure you are aware, the school was successful in its application for grant funding of a school kitchen. This will ensure that from September when all our children will be eligible for free school meals that we will be able to provide hot dinners for them all on site. During the holidays some of the internal structure was adapted ready for the major work. I am sure Mrs Guest will you updated.
Lots of things have been happening since I last wrote to you.
- The Library is now finished and looks wonderful – our thanks to the Friends of the School.
- The calendar for 2014-15 have been agreed with the Junior school and these will be sent out shortly.
- Sports being offered for the summer term 5 are Dance, Tennis, Gymnastics and Athletics. There will be changes for summer term 6.
- During the holidays two of our pupils left and have moved to Australia where we wish them all the best for the future.
- Some of our governors will be going to Spain with the school to observe policy and practice as part of our Comenius Project.
- We also hosted a teacher from India for a week as part of our Connecting Classrooms and during the week the owners and directors Sia International School visited as well.
Yours sincerely
Mr Mike Taylor
Vice Chairman of Governors
