Forest School - Autumn Term 2 2013/2014
Reception – Mrs Western’s Class
Session 1
In
our first session we took advantage of the fallen Autumn leaves and did some
colour matching. We used a paint colour
chart and had to find leaves that matched the shades of browns and greens which
were on the card.
There
was also time to mix some mud and water into a paste for some painting. We also had the task of moving a delivery of
soil from the Junior School field into our mud pit, although it was a great
place to do some digging where it was!
Some
of us thought the tree stumps were like motorbikes and went for a ride!
After all that we were ready to
get back to base camp for a snack before our favourite game, 1.2.3. where are
you?
Session 2
Because
we have already had extra Forest School sessions this term Mr Cutler thought
that we should really get to know Forest School. He took lots of photographs of things in
Forest School which we then had to find.
Some were quite easy but some were much harder. We had to use the clues in the picture to
help us and to look carefully at the picture to match exactly where the
photograph had been taken from. We found
things in Forest School that we had never noticed before!
